Congressman Diaz-Balart offered an amendment to increase the public services cap of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program from 15% to 25%. This gives local communities greater flexibility to address their unique needs and challenges. Public services include funds for child care, senior services, disabled services, educational programs, medical services, transportation services, domestic violence, crime prevention, food banks, just to give a few examples.
