I was pleased to take to the House floor to discuss the pressing problem of illegal immigration. The White House and the Senate and House "Gangs of Eight" have their proposals, but no guarantees that their ideas will be any better than what we were sold in 1986. No one can describe what a secure border looks like or what the true costs of illegal immigration are. To me, it sounds like temporary amnesty ... indefinitely.
