The House Education & Workforce Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions held a hearing that included Rep. Kristi Noem's Tribal Labor Sovereignty Act (H.R. 2335), legislation she introduced in June 2011. The legislation would clarify that the National Labor Relations Board does not have jurisdiction over tribally owned businesses on reservation land as a matter tribal sovereignty.
