On CNBC's Power Lunch today, Rep. Kevin Brady discussed the tax cliff and how its irresponsible to drive off it. Instead, the House has acted to stop the tax hikes and start on fundamental tax reform. Congressman Brady discussed how aspects of his MAP Act could help and how the Galveston model might play a role in necessary Social Security reform. While Social Security and Medicare won't change for current beneficiaries, there are good ideas out there to reform these programs now before they are permanently insolvent.
