Congresswoman Granger joined Republicans and Democrats on the U.S. House of Representatives floor to speak about her division of the FY12 appropriations bill passed in December. Congresswoman Granger was in charge of the State-Foreign Operations section of the bill, which cut funding by $6 billion from FY11 and was $8.7 billion below the President's request. Fiscal restraint and smart spending was key, and the SFOPs bill did this while also fully funding Israel, placing financial conditions on aid to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Egypt, Lebanon, and the Palestinian Authority.
