Congresswoman Granger spoke on a panel coordinated by the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) and Texas Christian University's Schieffer Series. The CSIS-Schieffer School Dialogues are a monthly series of discussions held at CSIS and hosted by Bob Schieffer on public policy and the media. This panel discussion focused on global health, and the Congresswoman discussed key points in her State and Foreign Operations Appropriations bill for FY12 relating to global health. The panel also discussed the US government's global health investments and programs. The full panel included: Dr. Frieden, Director of the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC); Susan Dentzer, Editor-in-Chief of Health Affairs; Steve Morrison, Director of Global Health Policy & Senior VP at CSIS.
