Congresswoman Kay Granger, Chairwoman of the State and Foreign Operations subcommittee, recently returned from leading a Congressional Delegation of her House colleagues to Colombia, Panama, Guatemala and Mexico. Congresswoman Granger was focusing on security assistance and counternarcotics efforts in the region. Upon her return she wrote a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, about her recent statements that the safety of the US-Mexico border is "better now than it has ever been" and Congresswoman Granger's disagreement with this statement.
