Chairmen Mica and Denham Discuss Empty Federal Buildings w/Greta Van Susteren
June 20, 2012
Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman John L. Mica (FL-07) and Economic Development, Public Buildings and Emergency Management Subcommittee Chairman Jeff Denham (CA-19) led a Congressional hearing on June 20 at the vacant Georgetown Heating Plant, a high-value federal asset which hasn't operated for over a decade but has cost the taxpayers $3.5 million in operating expenses.
The Congressmen appeared "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren" that evening to discuss the issue of empty and underutilized federal buildings across the country.
