WFTV reports that following community calls for action, the Florida Department of Transportation will move up the timetable for Bithlo bridge improvements along SR-50. On Thursday, June 15, 2012, Congressman John Mica (FL-07) experienced first-hand how dangerous it is for pedestrians crossing the bridge over the Econ River.
