Congressman John Mica (FL-07), on January 15, 2013, spoke on the House Floor about supplemental funding for the areas effected by Superstorm Sandy. "Congress always has and always will respond to disasters," Mica said as the House of Representatives debated the rule. Immediately following Sandy, Mica, as Chairman of the House Transportation Committee, inspected areas hit in the northeast. Mica and other Congressional leaders continue to work to make sure both that the areas affected receive the resources they need and that American taxpayers dollars are not wasted.
