In a ceremony in the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol, leaders of the U.S. House and Senate presented a Congressional Gold Medal to Daw Aung San Suu Kyi in recognition of her steadfast commitment to human rights and for promoting freedom, peace, and democracy in Burma.
