Congressman Jeff Fortenberry and USAID Administrator Dr. Raj Shah commend University of Nebraska Medical Center professor Dr. Jonathan Vennestrom for his work to develop a single-dose cure for malaria patients. Other research at UNMC is focusing on a vaccine to inoculate against the mosquito-transmitted diseases.
