Rep. Gus Bilirakis (FL-09), a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, questioned officials from the State Department on the treatment of Coptic Christians in Egypt and why Egypt is receiving foreign aid from the U.S. despite continuous disregard for the basic principles of human rights and religious freedom, particularly for Coptics.
