Rep. Gus Bilirakis (FL-09), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Emergency Preparedness, Response, and Communications, held a hearing on April 17 to examine how emergency responders can be protected during an attack or disaster, specifically a chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear emergency. One witness was Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco, who spoke on behalf of local first responders.
