Congressman Frank Lucas Questions Federal Reserve Chairman on Debt Ceiling
July 18, 2011
Congressman Frank Lucas recently attended a House Financial Services Committee hearing where he asked Ben Bernanke, Federal Reserve Chairman, how a debt ceiling agreement without long term goals would affect the constituents of Oklahoma's Third Congressional District. Before Lucas can agree to a debt ceiling increase, he wants to make certain the deal includes a long term objective that will provide economic certainty for U.S. citizens and the markets they represent.
