Congressman Connie Mack (R-FL 14) returned to his district in Southwest Florida in order to hear from his constituents during a town hall meeting on August 22. Congressman Mack also discussed a variety of topics, including Congressman Mack's proposed Penny Plan, a solution that the Congressman has presented as a solution to rising national debt under the formal name of the One Percent Spending Reduction Act of 2011. Congressman Mack also shared some criticism of how the rising national debt has been handled in the past, calling the failure to make real solutions to the problem a "punt" by lawmakers.
