Questioning of Arizona Attorney General and ICE Official at Homeland Security Hearing
July 26, 2010
During a House Committee on Homeland Security hearing, Congressman Dent questions Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard on the U.S. Department of Justice's (DOJ) decision to file a lawsuit against the state over its recently enacted immigration enforcement law. Dent also presses James A. Dinkins, Executive Associate Director for Homeland Security Investigations at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), on the disparaging impact American 'sanctuary cities' have on the federal government's ability to address the criminal activities of illegal aliens. These cities, located across the U.S., defy national immigration policies and stand in the way of efforts to properly handle criminal aliens according to federal procedures.
