Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr., M.D. (R-South Louisiana) spoke on the House floor in support of H.R 6082. The Congressman went on to state: "I rise in support of H.R. 6082 because it's a rational and responsible plan. Not only will this bill generate a robust drilling plan, creating thousands of new jobs, helping to lower the price at the pump, improving American energy security and strengthen our national and economic security, but it requires separate environmental reviews from each -- for each specific lease. This is good policy. Passage of this legislation sends a crystal clear message to the administration that a do-nothing energy plan is simply unacceptable."
