On December 6, 2011, Rep. Bob Gibbs delivered this speech on the floor of the U.S. House. He noted that he shares the American peoples' concern and frustration with Washington's failure to lead or find solutions this year, but "spending more money and growing government is not the answer. The answer is commonsense regulatory reform, tax reform, a balanced budget and an energy policy that develops and creates jobs here in America and moves us towards national security and prosperity."
