Rep. Farenthold questioned the costly burden of abusive patent litigation on jobs and innovation at a Judiciary Subcommittee hearing on Thursday. In his questioning, Farenthold highlighted that businesses are under the constant threat of becoming targets for frivolous lawsuits by patent assertion entities (PAEs) or "patent trolls" - and he offered a solution to this issue.
