TIFTON, GA (WALB) -
Congressman Austin Scott told South Georgia business leaders Thursday afternoon he's worried about how health care reform will affect them.
Scott spoke to members of the Tifton/Tift County Chamber of Commerce about multiple issues including health care reform and the struggling economy.
He says economic uncertainty is keeping many businesses from hiring.
"As soon as our small business owners have a comfort level with the economy and the ability to access capital and some predictability with revenues. I think you will see them going out and hiring again, but until we get to that point we're going to continue to have unemployment that is unacceptably high," said U.S. Congressman Austin Scott.
Scott fielded a lot of questions about the investigation into the terrorist attack on the U-S Consulate in Benghazi, Libya and said a more aggressive investigation is needed to get clear answers about what happened.
