WASHINGTON – House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 1960, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2014:
"Today the House voted to keep America strong, safe and secure. As we move forward, maintaining a strong national defense will be paramount in our effort to keep Americans safe both at home and abroad. The bipartisan legislation the House passed today does just that. It ensures that our troops have the necessary resources to fulfill their missions; supports our military families; provides strategic guidance on our global missions; and helps the brave men and women who answer America's call to freedom every single day. Nothing is more important than the safety and security of the American people – and I'm proud the House acted today to keep them protected."
