President Obama's Jobs Record, State by State

July 28, 2011

As Democrats continue to block efforts to put our fiscal house in order and the President insists on more job-killing tax increases, the American people continue to suffer under the highest sustained unemployment since the Great Depression.  State unemployment statistics released last week show that since President Obama took office the unemployment rate has increased in 42 states across the country. Not surprisingly, over the same time span the nation’s debt increased by $3.7 trillion or 35 percent in less than three years.  One thing is clear—the President’s 30-month agenda of taxing, borrowing, and spending has failed.
