2/6/10 Weekly Republican Address: Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX)
February 5, 2010
Delivering the weekly Republican address, Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) says that President Obama’s latest job-killing budget spends too much, taxes too much, and borrows too much from our kids and grandkids. Rep. Hensarling notes that the President’s budget only adds to the uncertainty caused by Washington Democrats’ job-killing policies, including a government takeover of health care and a ‘cap-and-trade’ national energy tax. The lawmaker also highlights Republicans’ better solutions to end Washington Democrats’ unprecedented spending binge and make the federal government live within its means. Now in his fourth term in Congress, Rep. Hensarling is the number two Republican on the House Budget Committee.
