Weekly Republican Address 1/4/14: Rep. Gregg Harper (R-MS)
Today in America, only four percent of all federal funding for cancer research goes to childhood cancer. Last month, the House passed H.R. 2019, the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act, with strong support from both sides of the aisle. This bipartisan legislation directs much-needed resources to pediatric research at the National Institutes of Health. We do this using taxpayer dollars currently set aside for political party conventions. Now it's the Senate's turn to step up so we can send this bill to the president's desk.
Weekly Republican Address 12/21/13: Rep. Aaron Schock (R-IL)
No matter how many actors, rappers, and rock stars the president rolls out, the best sales pitch in the world can't sell a bad product. Young people helped put the president in office, and with this health care law, he's pushing them into years of less choice, fewer opportunities, and larger bills. This isn't how it was supposed to be. We can do better.
