WASHINGTON, DC – House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) applauded the passage today of H.R. 3136, the bipartisan Advancing Competency-Based Education Demonstration Project Act of 2014, sponsored by Rep. Matt Salmon (R-AZ), which encourages innovation and flexibility in higher education and of H.R. 4983, the Strengthening Transparency in Higher Education Act, sponsored by Secretary Virginia Foxx (R-NC),which improves the resources available to Americans seeking higher education.
