WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) released the following statement today after the Bureau of Labor Statistics released its April jobs report.
“While it is encouraging to see more Americans secured jobs this April, today’s jobs report is a ultimately a reflection of our stagnant economy. As over 800,000 dropped out of the workforce last month, we need solutions to get all Americans back to work – and not to leave those struggling behind. House Republicans are focused on expanding opportunities and creating jobs for all Americans. We are working to cut federal red tape and enable job creation so that hardworking middle-class families can secure good-paying jobs and take home more of their paychecks. Too many Americans have been hurt by this struggling economy, and the time is now to create new jobs for a stronger tomorrow.”
