San Luis Obispo Tribune By Bob Cuddy |
A quartet of Republican congressmen will join an "energy summit" being hosted by the American Energy Solutions Group, May 28 from 10 a.m. to noon at Cal Poly's Spanos theatre.
Bakersfield Republican Kevin McCarthy will be joined by Devin Nunes of Tulare, Bob Latta of Ohio and Lee Terry of Nebraska at the event, at which experts will discuss nuclear power, renewable and alternative energy technologies, and U.S. energy policy.
They also will examine "the effect energy legislation pending in Congress will have on American jobs and the economy as a whole," according to a press release from McCarthy.
The American Energy Solutions Group says it is working to craft legislative solutions that will lower energy prices for American families and small businesses and create energy independence for the American people. The summit is one of several being held across the United States.
