At a press conference today, Republican leaders urged Senate Democrats to act on the dozens of House-passed jobs bills they’re blocking, including two more major bills to boost American energy and economic growth that will be on the House floor this week.
Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) discusses the dismal economic numbers of the August jobs report, which showed the worst numbers of the year. Rep. Wilson points out that House Republicans have passed over 40 jobs bills that will begin to solve President Obama's failed economic policies.
In this week's Republican Address, Rep. Bucshon marks the upcoming Labor Day Holiday, celebrating the nation’s workforce and highlighting Republicans’ solutions to help create jobs and build a stronger economy.
“As the son of a coal miner and a nurse, I was able to pursue an education and realize the American dream,” Rep. Bucshon said. “House Republicans have put forth common-sense solutions that ensure every American has the same opportunity. I’m honored to deliver our message about the importance of these solutions this weekend as we celebrate our fellow Americans who work hard every single day.”
347 House-passed bills are stuck in the United States Senate. Dozens of these bills would create good-paying jobs to create a healthy economy. Yet Senator Harry Reid refuses to bring them up for a vote.
Do-nothing Congress? More like a Do-nothing Senate.
