While the Democrat Leaders were forced to pull their housing bailout, cram-down legislation at the last minute (Blue-Dogs barking?), Ohio Democrat, Rep. Marcy Kaptur, took to the House floor to demand open debate and respect from her leaders.

Kaptur said: "The challenges we face in the mortgage market are enormous and regular order should be the rule of the day here. ... Members deserve respect."

Maybe the Democrat Leaders should listen to Congresswoman Kaptur, and the 76 percent of Americans who don't want higher taxes to subsidize irresponsible homeowners.
