This morning at a Politico Playbook breakfast, White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer confirmed what we all feared as he repeated what appears to be the latest Democrat talking point: President Obama’s budget will not balance.

Dan Pfeiffer: You don’t want to balance the budget for the purpose of simply balancing the budget.

Mike Allen: There’s not going to be a date where it balances?

Pfeiffer: No.
