Medica Insurance Company announced it would no longer sell “child-only” health insurance plans in Minnesota because of an ObamaCare mandate that permits parents to wait until their children are sick before they buy health insurance.
The Minnesota company’s announcement means that families in Minnesota cannot buy a “child-only” policy because all insurance companies in Minnesota have stopped selling that type of health insurance plan.
Last month, the Los Angeles Times reported that several other insurance companies would stop selling “child-only” policies in California and other states due to the same ObamaCare mandate.
