In a new report, President Obama’s own actuary at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has concluded that health care spending will increase 6.3 percent per year and total health care spending will hit $4.6 trillion by 2019. The new numbers, as reported in today’s Wall Street Journal, are even higher than CMS’s prelaw estimate.
These new estimates mean health care spending under ObamaCare will consume nearly 20 percent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product.
