Last weekend, Rep. Mike Pence (IN) and Rep. Michele Bachmann (MN) visited RightOnline in Las Vegas. The conference was one for conservative online grassroots activists -- opposite the liberal conference, NetRoots Nation. One of the largest grassroots conservative movements right now is Smart Girl Politics. Congresswoman Bachmann took a few minutes to speak with SGP co-founder Teri Christoph on Take That! Radio's show, "Smart Girl Nation." Here are a few excerpts of her remarks:
"If you look at the economic indicators, we are not going down a road of prosperity, we are going down a road of decline...we have to reverse course very quickly or we are, frankly, in big trouble.
...For so many years, Speaker Pelosi and the far Left have tried to say they are the spokeswomen for women -- they aren't. Women are very independent, capable, confident and they can think for themselves and when they look at Speaker Pelosi's policies, all they see is disaster.
...We have five biological children and have raised 23 foster children and we have a lot invested in the future..."
