In addition to many of our individual offices, we wanted to acknowledge that both the Natural Resources Committee and the Education and Labor Committee web sites both won the Gold for the Golden Mouse Committee Awards last night. Many congratulations to both of these Committees.

Ranking Member of the Natural Resources Committee Doc Hastings released the following statement:

"Since its redesign in September 2009, our website has proven to be an invaluable tool in helping Committee Republicans’ communicate with the public on Natural Resources issues.  We’ve used new media platforms such as Twitter, YouTube and Facebook to broaden our audience and have made a strong commitment to providing timely and accurate information.   Hopefully our website has become a one-stop shop for all legislative information related to energy development, access to public lands, clean and cheap hydroelectricity and the host of other issues under the Committee’s jurisdiction.  It’s an honor to receive the Gold Mouse award and we will continue to look for ways to use innovative technologies to better communicate with the American public,”
