Rep. Lyn Westmoreland (GA) had this to say about Tax Day 2010:

Another Tax Day is another reminder for millions of working Americans how much of their hard-earned money flows to Washington each year.  What’s more is the Democrats in charge are only getting started.
 
In just over one year, President Barack Obama and the Democratic majority in Congress have enacted 14 tax hikes, amounting to more than $670 billion in gross tax increases.  Simply put, that’s more than $2,100 for every man, woman and child living in the United States. 
 
From corporate bailouts to a failed stimulus package to the recent government takeover of health care that’s loaded down with tax increases, Democrats are barreling down a destructive and fiscally-irresponsible path.
 
The only thing standing in their way is the American taxpayer, who I encourage to join me on Tax Day in rejecting the Democrats’ tax-raising, job-killing approach that’s choking American families and businesses.
