Doubling down on their flawed economic policies, the White House and congressional Democrats are preparing yet another “stimulus” bill – to be “paid for” with taxpayer dollars from the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) – their own bailout slush fund.  The American people don’t want more of the same wasteful spending and unsustainable debt, but that’s exactly what Democrats plan to give them.
 
In stark contrast, Republicans are pushing for common-sense solutions to help small businesses create jobs.  Yesterday a group of leading economists joined House Republican Leader John Boehner (OH) and other GOP leaders for a roundtable discussion on the economy and made it clear that stopping the Democrats’ job-killing polices is the first step towards getting our economy moving again.  They also discussed a number of ideas that can help create jobs.  Here’s a brief wrap-up of some of the coverage of yesterday’s roundtable and the economists who participated:
