On Tuesday, February 14, 2012, the House is scheduled to consider H.R. 3248, under a suspension of the rules requiring a two-thirds majority vote for passage.  H.R. 3248 was introduced by Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) on October 24, 2011, and referred to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

This legislation would designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 112 South 5th Street in Saint Charles, Missouri, as the "Lance Corporal Drew W. Weaver Post Office Building.”

Twenty-year old Marine Lance Cpl. Drew W. Weaver, died February 21, 2008, while conducting combat operations, in Asad, Iraq.  Lance Cpl. Weaver was assigned to the 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.

According to CBO, any costs related to new post office designations, which include the cost of changing the name on the building, signs, and maps, are not significant.
