H. Res. 26 is expected to be considered on the House floor on Friday, January 7, 2011. The resolution calls for consideration of H.R. 2, Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Act rule with seven hours of debate equally divided and one motion to recommit. Also, the resolution calls for consideration of H. Res 9 with one hour of debate equally divided and one motion to recommit. Further, the rule makes in order the amendment to H. Res. 9 if offered by Rep. Matheson (D-UT) or his designee with ten minutes of debate equally divided. Lastly, the resolution provides for the consideration of a resolution relating to the status of certain actions taken by Members-elect under a closed rule with four minutes of debate equally divided if offered by the Majority Leader or his designee.
The resolution provides for consideration of H.R. 2, Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act and H. Res. 9, which instructs the House committees of jurisdiction to report legislation that improves the nation’s health care system and makes it more consumer friendly and affordable.
