On Monday, March 14, 2011, the House is scheduled consider H.R. 793 under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds majority vote for passage. The legislation was introduced by Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) on February 17, 2011, and referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
The legislation would designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 12781 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in Inverness, California, as the “Specialist Robert Velloza Post Office.”
According to CBO, any costs related to new post office designations, which include the cost of changing the name on the building, signs, and maps, are not significant.
