On Monday, August 1, 2011, the House is scheduled consider H.R. 2715 under a suspension of the rules, requiring a two-thirds majority vote for passage. The resolution was introduced by Rep. Bono Mack (R-CA) on August 1, 2011, and referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce.

H.R. 2715 would provide greater authority and discretion to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) in enforcement of product safety laws.
H.R. 2715 would address a number of unintended consequences created by the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008. The bill would do the following;
