H.Res. 1600 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds majority vote for passage.  The legislation was introduced by Rep. Betty McCollum (D-MN) on July 30, 2010.

H.Res. 1600 would resolve that the House of Representatives supports:

  • “The critical role of the physician assistant profession for the significant impact the profession has made and will continue to make in health care; and
  • “The goals and ideals of National Physician Assistant Week.”

 

According to the resolution’s findings, the American Academy of Physician Assistants recognizes October 6-12, 2010 as National Physician Assistant Week.
