H.Res. 1508 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House on Wednesday, September 22, 2010, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds majority vote for passage.  The legislation was introduced by Rep. Ed Whitfield (R-KY) on July 1, 2010.

H.Res. 1508 would resolve that the House of Representatives honors John James Audubon for his life's contribution to nature and art in Henderson, Kentucky, for 200 years and the continued showcase of his life, nature, and art at the John James Audubon State Park & Museum.

John James Audubon was a French-American ornithologist, naturalist, hunter, and painter.  He painted, catalogued, and described the birds of North America in a form far superior to what had gone before.
