H.Res. 1446 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds vote for passage. The legislation was introduced by Rep. Jerry McNerney (D-CA) on June 16, 2010.

H.Res. 1446 would resolve that the House of Representatives:

• “Expresses its gratitude to the veterans of the City of Tracy, California, who have committed their lives to serving the United States;
• “Expresses its gratitude to all of the residents of the City of Tracy, California, for their century-long commitment to serving the United States.”

The City of Tracy is located in San Joaquin County, which is home to more than 42,000 veterans. Camp Tracy, located near the City of Tracy, played a role in intelligence operations that contributed to the war effort during World War II.
