H.Res. 1333 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds vote for passage. The legislation was introduced by Rep. Phil Roe (R-TN) on May 6, 2010.

H.Res. 1333 would resolve that the House of Representatives:
• "Supports the goals and ideals of Children's Book Week; and
• "Encourages parents to read with their children and schools, libraries, and community organizations to hold events to encourage children and students of all ages to read."

According to the resolution's findings, Children's Book Week is recognized from May 10 to May 16, 2010.
