The Senate Amendment to H.R. 628 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House on Thursday, December 16, 2010, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds majority vote for passage.  The House approved the original bill by a vote of 409-7 on December 13, 2010.  The Senate approved H.R. 628 with an amendment by unanimous consent on December 13, 2010.

The Senate Amendment would strike authorized funding under H.R. 628 and expand the application of the pilot program to certain district courts with fewer than ten judges each.

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has not produced a cost estimate for this bill as of press time.
