To provide for qualifications for vocational rehabilitation counselors and vocational rehabilitation employment coordinators employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs

H.R. 5630 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House on Tuesday, Septemer 28, 2010, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds majority vote for passage.  The legislation was introduced on June 29, 2010 by Rep. John Boozman (D-AZ) and referred to the Committee on Veterans Affairs.

This bill would require vocational rehabilitation counselors and employment coordinators to meet specific degree requirements prior to employment and to obtain appropriate certifications and maintain those certifications as a condition of continued employment with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
