H.Res. 1475 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds majority vote for passage.  The legislation was introduced by Rep. G.K. Butterfield (D-NC) on June 24, 2010.

H.Res. 1475 would resolve that the House of Representatives congratulates the town of Tarboro, North Carolina, on the occasion of its 250th anniversary.

According to the resolution’s findings, Tarboro is the 11th oldest colonial town in North Carolina.
