H.J.Res. 90 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House on Thursday, July 29, 2010, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds vote for passage. The legislation was introduced by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) on June 17, 2010.

H.J.Res. 90 would resolve that the House of Representatives supports the designation of "Gospel Music Heritage Month" which would recognize the contributions to the culture of the United States derived from the rich heritage of gospel music and gospel music artists.
