H.Con.Res. 292 is expected to be considered on the floor of the House on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, under a motion to suspend the rules, requiring a two-thirds vote for passage. The legislation was introduced by Rep. Vernon Ehlers (R-MD) on June 30, 2010.

H.Con.Res. 292 would resolve that Congress:

  • “Supports the goals and ideals of `National Aerospace Week'; and
  • “Recognizes the contributions of the aerospace industry to the history, economy, security, and educational system of the United States.”

According to the resolution's findings, the third week in September is an appropriate week to observe "National Aerospace Week."
